About the Summit

The California Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander (AANHPI) Intersegmental Summit is a statewide convening led by the California Community Colleges Chancellor’s Office and the Foundation for California Community Colleges’ Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander  Student Achievement Program Central Office (CCC AANHPI SAP), in partnership with the California State University Asian American, Native Hawaiian & Pacific Islander Student Achievement Program  Central Office (CSU ASAP Central Office), the University of California (UC), Asian Pacific Americans in Higher Education (APAHE), and the California Commission on Asian and Pacific Islander American Affairs (CAPIAA).

Taking place February 22–23, 2027, in Sacramento at the SAFE Credit Union Convention Center, the summit will bring together students, college practitioners, higher education leaders, policymakers, legislators, and community partners from across California’s higher education systems. Building on the momentum of the previous statewide summit, this convening will advance collaboration among the California Community Colleges system, the California State University system, and the University of California system to support AANHPI and underserved student success, equity, leadership, and belonging.

Summit Highlights

The summit will feature sessions focused on student leadership development, advocacy, civic engagement, culturally responsive practice, intersegmental collaboration, and strengthening transfer pathways.

It will also create opportunities for legislators and state leaders to engage directly with students and campus practitioners, hear from the field, and better understand the statewide impact of AANHPI Student Achievement Program investments. Day one will consist of an evening reception and poster sessions. Day two will consist of a full program, expecting to run from 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.
