Overview

The 2026 Undocumented Student Success Summit is California's premier statewide convening dedicated to advancing the success of undocumented and immigration-impacted students, led by the California Community Colleges Chancellor’s Office and Foundation for California Community Colleges, in collaboration with Long Beach City College.

The Summit will take place on October 16, 2026, at Long Beach City College, celebrating the work happening across California Community Colleges while providing participants with actionable strategies, policy updates, and innovative practices that can be implemented on their campuses. This Summit intentionally brings campus practitioners, students, legal service providers, nonprofit organizations, and state leaders together to build a coordinated statewide approach to support undocumented and immigration-impacted students.

Summit Features

The summit will feature sessions led by campus practitioners, a panel highlighting student voices, and a partner resource showcase. There will also be opportunities for educators, practitioners, institutional leaders, and community partners to connect and learn from each other while strengthening partnerships and developing innovative strategies to improve student success, belonging, and economic mobility.

In alignment with Vision 2030’s strategic roadmap, this summit ensures that California Community Colleges remain committed to serving undocumented and immigration-impacted students and have the practical tools, partnerships, and strategies to achieve this. Every campus has the opportunity to create environments where undocumented students feel they belong and can thrive. Together, we are building stronger systems that expand opportunity and improve student outcomes.

Call for Proposals

Our Call for Proposals is open to all! We welcome engaging and innovative session ideas that support the success, belonging, and opportunities of undocumented and immigration-impacted students. Submitted proposals may be considered for the Undocumented Student Success Summit, Undocumented Student Success Week webinars, or other professional development opportunities offered throughout the year. Whether you have promising practices, practical tools, lived experiences, innovative approaches, or resources to share, we invite you to submit a proposal and help strengthen support for undocumented students across California Community Colleges.
